We'd

been dreaming
Or at least I had
About white stars with nude corneas
Boaring down in shales of hot ivy.

It was raining.
A bald man in a business suit jogged
Down our street and tore
The sewer grate off.

Later on it was cold.

The moon was a Madonna,
A rude breast blazing the sky.

As though to say:
"Take me now,
or don't take me at all."

quick,

abstract, and gritty. Written with the brushstroke and hallmark of the city dweller. I love how you can pack such a punch of descriptiveness into such a short piece that to many eyes might appear cobbled together. Another good work! Mark W. Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against these, there is no law!" My favorite verse(s) in the Bible

Can't say that I understand the write ('cause I'm half asleep) so will have to come back to it. I'm sure it's good, though, your stuff always is. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"As you slide down the banister of life, may the splinters never point in the wrong direction!" -"God is good, but never dance in a small boat."
