OFFICE POLITICS When a name is christened And penciled in on business plan In competitive challenge to excel A name to some, means a lot And walking the path to perfection Is like a refinery purging impurities Separating the odd from the even Distilled residue of human nature Compelled to drag away the waste Office politics, rested on ego Hatred and unrestrained sentiment Degrade a victim further into the mud Must the process of learning Be tough and tedious on wages Insufficient to drive home the lesson Of toil and of sacrifice for all Ours, a family name in high spirit Of committed heritage on the tail To which the plume symbolizes A good name, not a painted sepulcher Nor pride of insincerity; Is a name devoid of ills Striving to attain the best The very best…
