Monday morning
"MONDAY MORNING" ANN 21/7/2008
The clouds they rise like cotton wool
A veil going up and down the hill
Revealing, concealing, the blue and the grey
On a bright lit valley this early Monday
All wet the river gets wider and wider
Suddenly descends an inquisitive spider
Misses my tea cup by millimetres three
And lets me once more have a sip of my tea
I wonder what this day will turn out to be
There's a blue tit that's eyeing me from the birch tree
"Where are those tasty things you put out for me
When Winter set in and it started to freeze
I'm hungry right now, can't you give me some please?"
