Genius hides in small blue bottlesAs glassy eyes turn to the side, and ears are pressed to the wall. Its kinship now entwined with sorrowWithin emotional ink,Scribbled in illegible impressions.

For clarity loses its visability,As forgetfulness snaps its wings downtight around frail memory,Trapping it within the wispy fogwhere the shafts of sunlight deftly dance. Its impalpable laughter fills the airWrapping me in a thousand common rainbows,Hanging me from rafters in the sky.

This atmosphere, now transmutedis no longer uniform. For Desire becomes evergreenAnd reaches out with tender leavesof epheremal love that yellows,Turning to brown when scorned,And little boys rake theminto piles of woman's rage

running........ jumping......

Scattering them to Time's windsWhere the dying blue music carries them,As lingering notes of sadnessthat dance with the sunlight,Now drift through the fog.

While the memories echo with your laugh,And your eyes, always blue as the skyare transfixed with mine. As these moments now fixedwithin my soul,Cemented and permanentForever a part of me - no matter what comes.

Wow, Blue Halcyon,

Again, I cannot find anything to "construct". A very vivid and touching poem. Your imagery is awesome. Regards, ~Nina

Agreed, Nina. An evocative journey of wonders into soul... ~A "We have to try to get rid of the notion of time. And when you have an intense contact of love with nature or another human being, like a spark, then you understand that there is no time and that everything is eternal." Paulo Coelho

You’ve got a wonderful way

You've got a wonderful way with words Blue Halcyon. The first three stanzas contain some beautiful imagery but the last two really drew me in on a more personal level. Great write again! ~Stella

The first part

felt surreal and somewhat disconnected for me. I don't necessarily mean that as a negative, though, as this is often how I would feel at the beginning of a relationship. Where you shine here is in the latter stanzas, as the poem becomes more personal, more "fleshed out" so to speak. A tender, and wonderful piece. Mark W. Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against these, there is no law!" My favorite verse(s) in the Bible
