1.  alone

i know not
what love is
though i have fallen
victim to this unsolved crime,
sooner or later the earth will
swallow the evidence and
the witness will have gone up
in smoke...

do not judge me harshly
i am a fool here
just like you,
doing the best i can
with all the love i can speak
of,
there is no poet who will dance
with me until the end of time,
like a spider without a web
i am caught inside this rhyme of mine,
there is no samurai who will win the last
battle to take me in his arms,
kiss my lush lips,
tasting of victory,
there is no scientist who will have
traveled far enough to reach my shore,
across the scent of a lotus lake,
inside the flesh of the ripest mango,
you will have ever seen,

freshly skinned,
i am alone.

2.  sleep

Baaa.......baaaaaa......

Lost.

bleeding in the brambles.
a lamb
a ewe
a ram
the shepherd
comes
to set me free

the spring is not holy
I thnk
to a thirsty sheep
the shepherd is
not God
and the sun
rises and sets
unnoticed but for
the peace of sleep.

3.  teacher

i thought i was a teacher once
for i found the Holy Grail
in the Book of Enlightenment
when the words were mine;
the story is old and often told
everyone on earth is in the heaven
and hell of their own choosing
there is no choice but to be...
this is the open secret,
shining
in the heart of awareness

until the story ends
as mysterious
as it started...
the first and last page
always, already assured,

how foolish the mind
that keeps looking
for another book, another teacher
to speak of something that will never
be found.

4.  nothing

it's not as though you can do anything,
really,
that metal taste:
you bit the inside of your mouth
and don't even remember when,
you are chaff,
a cold wind blows
you are bone
into ground,
a seed
broken,
the spring of you
eternal,
the winter
hard
and colder still.

Yup…. it is a journey….

Yup.... it is a journey.... from here to here. All inside my mind.. ;-) Thank you for taking the trip with me. ~Anna "We have to try to get rid of the notion of time. And when you have an intense contact of love with nature or another human being, like a spark, then you understand that there is no time and that everything is eternal." Paulo Coelho

Anna...

I thank you for allowing me the pleasure of skipping to your tune... your words often chill me while greedily I consume... I can't even pick a favorite one out of your daily four.... elegance in the real Richard
