Two Poems - A senyru and a haiku about humanity's intelligence, forming one epigram

Terminal Disease Senyru

Doctor told my friend
he had six months to survive,
doctor is now dead...

Expiration Date Haiku

Grocer  told same friend
milk's no good in two more days,
friend has chunky milk.

Advantage: Grocer, who now writes my prescriptions

Ain't judgment calls ...

by the less informed wonderful? By my judgment, Mark, you're havin' entirely too much fun here. If I were you, I'd check to see whether so much is illegal. (Prob'ly is.) Yours, Chuck

I'm sure it is illegal, Chuck!

and am eagerly awaiting my detainment! :) Mark W. P.S. Yes isn't it ironic that often the expiration dates of our food are far more accurate than those of our person? Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against these, there is no law!" My favorite verse(s) in the Bible

indeed it sometimes is,

and should be, for that's when it is sweetest. Mark W. thanks Richard!

I haven't been able to run in years... ok, technically I can, but it would be far more comical than anything I could ever write! Mark W. Mark, uh, is this supposed to be funny?

If not, you failed miserably. If so, then it is a success! *LOL* Couldn't resist. Been listening to bill Ingvall lately and it may be the death of me. Yesterday I was at the grocery store and an older lady was behind me in line. She said, "Buying groceries huh?" What ran through my mind was "Nope, just renting them." What I managed to squeak out was..."Yes m'am". Sad... Loved the write! Respectfully, Rett: "Next time you think you're perfect, walk on water."

lol Rett!

your comment is far funnier than my poem! I know that sad, loneley feeling like you describe from the grocery store... always comes an hour too late. Of course, my wife says it's more like... oh, nevermind :) Mark W.
