The Bottom Line
We're mindless as we discern
which pathway that we choose,
each choice could mean that we win
or that choice could mean we lose.
The way that we are brought up
is a legacy to our folks,
but our individuality
can lead us to tears or jokes.
My family was so important
in shaping my point of view.
So, at least they have an understanding
of some of the things I do.
I crave to just touch bases
with them daily, on the phone;
it matters not what moods we're in
it helps us not feel so alone.
We all adjust to where we are
in our lives, or so it seems;
and if things don't add up exactly right,
they will inside our dreams.
The roads that we all travel
may scare us from time to time,
but to up and just quit walking
would seem like some sort of crime.
So, the people that have touched my soul
and helped mold my personality,
I must thank them from my heart of hearts
for turning me into me.
Life as a whole, is generous
and between family and friends,
any bitter thoughts need to fade away
so as not to start any trends.
My rate of comprehension
will never exceed past what is true,
I know very well, how to walk the talk
and do the things that I must do.
The bottom line, when all's said and done
I say to all who'll hear...
embrace the life that you've been given,
and know that death's nothing to fear.
which pathway that we choose,
each choice could mean that we win
or that choice could mean we lose.
The way that we are brought up
is a legacy to our folks,
but our individuality
can lead us to tears or jokes.
My family was so important
