Fly South For The Winter

Fly south for the winter

Escape the winter blizzard
There's no heat to warm the
Skin burned by the cold winds

Jump into the warm waters
Of summertime flowing strong
Frost bitten skin restored to health

Bask in the sunshine of gladness
There the storm of gloom is lifted
From a lonely heart that’s crying

A journey

Move South within your thoughts if you cannot move, there as Barbara says, the storm of gloom will be lifted. Look at the posative things around you and the sun will shine and that warm glow will fill your mind. Lovely write Yours, Ian.T

Barbara,

one of the things that I love of the winter is that it always makes me think of the warmth of spring and summers lovely touch! Winter always feels sadder, only because it is, it to is waiting on it's lover spring. What a wonderful write, invoking beautiful imagery! thanks, Eddie

Your comment is a wonderful light in my eyes though it off my theme it is such a true statement. Winter is sad waiting on its lover spring is a awesome theme for a poem. Thanks for sharing and making this sleepless night a little brighter, though I will be dead tired and out of it all day when daylight dawns and I'm out and about riding while hubby take mama to the doctor and do other errand trying to get back in my graces. ~~~~~~~~~ Be whoever you are At all times, and Remember that Because of this, people will Always Respect, and Admire you ©2008Leonard Respectfully Yours, Barbara
