A Little Poem of Death

I remember once
I wrote a poem
A little poem of death

Of that poem
You told me
It brought memories
Of the best

It reminded you
Of a girl
She was a shining star

She was the spirit
Of the school
But never got too far

The tragedy
Of her life
Was that she died
So young

Cut down
In the prime of life
Before reaching
The next rung
 
Recently
I heard the news
That your life is through
So this little poem of death
Is one I wrote for you

A good reminder of an end to someone, but just of the physical being. A thought just struck me "If there is nothing after life, then I will not be disapointed" ????? Await some writes from you on a life of living, Yours Ian.T

Michael, Sorry about missing this one

I have missed a lot of people lately due to life happening and other things here. I really like this and you just keep getting better and better. I would give you an in depth critique, but honestly, I really can't find anything to suggest. It is really good and I loved the ending.
