Cost Per Breeze

night settles chill a complement
to lurkers on shady errands
hands pat pay day fat wallets
reassurance that it is still present
Fridays parade of heavy coats
some fake fur, others real mink
draped over scantly clad bodies
cosmetic painted faces study profiles
as if they were all familiar company

Cost Per breeze

Glad to see you posting again. I liked this one becaue it is tight, as opposed to ramblings and the meaning clear to me~ Nicely written! _____________________________ To write a touching poem, you must gently stir the soul, if it brings forth tears or smiles, then the story was beautifully told. ________Janice Pearce_________

David

With the times being the way they are, I think everyone does a little pocket patting - just to make sure it's still there! Excellent seeing you writing again. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"And he talks to the river of lost love and dedication And silent replies that swirl invitation Flow dark and troubled to an oily sea A grim intimation of what is to be" - Pink Floyd

Thank you Mark,

Good to hear from you, I miss the site. Being in transit has really made me reflect upon the time when I had more time to spend here at Neopoet. In ink, Dabbler

it's funny

I was going to be like "I haven't seen you in FOREVER!" but truth is I haven't been on in forever, either. What's going on with you? Mark W.
