Stardust

I was born to carry a star on my shoulders
until the twilight of the mighty anguish
and then, I shall deny it, wretched,
just like I would deny a bitter cluster,
while all I've carried on my rocky bones
will follow the cold paths of the Universe.

Its austere light will burst in suffering...
I'll know my time has come,
when the bitter dust would flow behind me,
and through mists I'll wander
towards horizons which weave meadows of darkness
on this infinite canvas, near an infinite beam.

Expressionist!

How I love that one. Do you happen to know Else Lasker-Schüler? This reminded me of one of her poems: I search each country for a city With an angel standing at its gate. I carry his enormous wing, Broken heavily at the blade And on my brow I carry his star as a seal. ~Nina P.S. Somehow I thought the last word would be stream, but it´s steam. Maybe my own expectations tripped me up...

I’m glad you love this

I'm glad you love this one. :) Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Else Lasker-Schüler's work, but you made me curious and I shall look for her work. Cheers!
