Karma’s marionette

Karma’s marionette

Tossed about in stagnate winds

Twisted strings confuse direction

Like a fish without fins

Dreams exceed where reality cheapens

Clutch of an old demon deepens

Hi Frost

I really like what you have written here. I think this is a theme many can warm to. The last 2 lines are without doubt my favourites. Beautiful. I am intimately acquainted with the old bastards, myself! Regards, Jo

Frost

Opening stanza is amazing, and does a good job of reeling you in. The lines about Cyrano de Bergerac (I assume that's who you were talking about) was a very interesting touch, and you paralleled the two (is that a word?) nicely. I would hope that you wouldn't marry your distant cousin, though.. :~) Nicely done. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- -"And he talks to the river of lost love and dedication And silent replies that swirl invitation Flow dark and troubled to an oily sea A grim intimation of what is to be" - Pink Floyd

Infinite_Dwarf...

I utilized the cyrano analogy to reference pining for someone yet hiding behind a disguise...no I wouldn't marry a cousin; lol thanks Frost
