come be with your horse-bride
in your hairstyle
I visage storm clouds
and fear the rain
spoiling my washing.
my helmet
covers the sky
from my eyes.
we broke down.
mirror married
to the wall
who's the grandest of us all?
we break down our hearts
and fertilise our plants
with them.
(imagine
little chunks of heart
underneath the vines)
on the back of your neck
there's a birthmark
no-ones ever noticed.
(in the shape of...)
sometimes
you get gum stuck on your shoe
and you limp around
stuck to the earth.
sometimes
I trip over on dust.
you are
the feeling before a hail storm.
oh yes
I look forward to you
battering my head in.
