You have a good basic point, and I think that this was a good piece of writing. Most schools are told how to teach and what to teach, I am not sure if brain washing is intended, but it can come across that way. Years ago we had to recite lots of things, but it became a way of learning and is still done today, it is the ability of the individual that uses this system to learn, the basic way of learning and to carry on in his/her way, to greater things.Yours Ian.T

Thank you Ian.T

the central thought in my poem is based upon my experience in the present day Indian education system,..I dont know much about the western system and so I am not qualified to talk about it...at the same time there are many arguements and counter arguements going on this subject...so unless and untill one understand the subject exhaustively ...it is unwise to discuss...I am happy you found this poem interesting enough for your comment.. I had penned this peice more than a decade earlier...and not much has changed...thanks a lot...take care. yours Rahbar.
