How laughter Can Lift the Soul

I try and be sensible
with the way I look at things, in my life.
Optimists are jovial, good natured, and positive
however, disappointment looms for them,
around every corner, and just beyond every bend, down life's trails.

Pessimists may be pleasantly surprised, often enough;
yet, they live an existence that wears out it's own welcome;
by isolating them from healthy camaraderie.

I seem to see a different slice of life,
which shares not, the cold and lonely rooms of the jaded;
for, there are too many treasures to be harvested in humanity's garden.
So, I do my level best to incorporate humor
in my daily walks, and in my perceptions.

There's a reason for this, too.
When I find the spark of humor that accompanies daily situations,
I am assured that magic will sharpen wits, and create smiles of the heart.

Which, can only lessen the burden of the load that one is carrying.
For, my view is as simple as night's shadows arriving at dusk, to steal away the day;
to be truly human, everyone of us has a built-in need for laughter,
for a sense of humor, no matter how petite, can heal any condition of the soul;
not to mention, gifting every heart with longevity.

In my heart of hearts, I know that the interaction of laughter between souls,
is the only song that every soul can learn to sing. Unless, of course...you're tone deaf, and can't sing...
then, you should be seated somewhere in the audience; after all, this isn't kareoke!
