Nocturnal Moments

My cat, eight-ball Johnson is curled up on my knees.
Apparently, I've aroused his behavior,
helping him to recognize the comfort in my lap.

As my hand is urged to stroke his fur,
I'm greatly reminded...
..that these are what comfortable times are made of.

The morning sun has swallowed the night, and nudges my eyes alert.
I have a 6:30 meeting this morning,
and I'm caused to wonder, will they see I've yet to rest my head?

It really matters not, for I will know;
and be it unintentional, I just may "tip my hand",
with my weariness of nature.

So crazy are my days, of late;
and even crazier are my sleep habits,
or lack there of...it's really quite the shame.

For truly, I am not myself,
and then to top it all off.....yesterday,
I overslept and ended up sleeping right through my nap!

Lordy, save me from sleeping through my nap

That would be horrible. Quite a entertaining write Doc! I needed a spot of humor. Don't worry, I'm not senile, I just have my senior moments. Although I have heard the good thing about forgetting people is that you meet someone new every day. Thanks for the reading pleasure doc. Respectfully, Rett: "Next time you think you're perfect, walk on water."

....thanks for not crucifying me ! L.O.L.! I once DID try and walk on water..........and was Successful, too ! The only thing was, I was merely walking on the "underside" of the top. Go figure. #{:>{)}+/ doc.
