MI VIDA

He lay quietly on his hospital bed
Weak and in pain, the cancer was winning
When he finallly spoke, he asked
"Is this where I am to die
Nothing more the doctors could do
HIs son sat night and day at
His fathers bedside
But another sat there , too
A hateful and insecure woman
The estranged second wife
But he longed to see his first wife
He longed for his beautiful first love
The Hateful One would not permit
Him to see her
Would not allow her to come and say goodbye
He asked "Where is Mi Vida
"Where is my baby, my beautiful Ann Michele
The Hateful One told the dying man to "Shut up
He died asking for Mi Vida, but to no avail
She was not allowed to enter his room
And sit by his bed, to tell him she loved him
Surely, the angels wept with the Beautiful One
Some day the Hateful One's time will come

Satan awaits

Linda,

How utterly sad for him and your daughter and you, and how cruel of the Hateful One not to allow someone a dying wish when it would have been so easy. Even death row prisoners are granted a last meal of their choosing. Is Ann Michele the mother of the son who sat by his side? I hope so...for at least (if so) he had the small comfort of having a part of her beside him. Sincerely; Debbie

Yes, It is my daughters son who stayed in the room with him. He was afraid of his fathers second wife because she was so vindictive. Thank you for your kind remarks, Debbie. My youngest daughter is named Debbie, also. Sincerely, Linda

Sad to hear that. It is senseless for people to be vindictive. Best wishes to you and your daughter. Respectfully Yours, Barbara

sad Linda, very sad...

However how much greater person would you be if you leave it be, upholding a dignity that she can never possess. I do not think she could feel any worse than when she can not even knock this dying mans true love off of her feet? Simply laugh it off, let her carry all the hate, your better than that. Your friend, Mark

Thank you so much Mark, this is very good advice. My daughter and I had already decided it wasn't worth the trouble it would cause to try and go to the funeral. I wish you the very best. Sincerely, Linda

Hi Linda...

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your son-in-law... and was glad to hear that you and your daughter would be leaving well enough alone... the hateful one... what a tremendous blow to her ego for him to ask for his ex... sad all the way around... hoping for the best for you and yours... and the grandson!
