lonely

The rabbit sits inside her cage

Feels she’s been there for an age

She sits and waits for something new

There’s nothing here for her to do

Each days the same, just eat and drink

With lots of time to sit and think

Dreaming of a different life

Of being another bunny wife

With a hubby and family too

Meanwhile just some sex will do

Its Friday now, with any luck

Today’s the day they pass the buck

Hi John

This is fun, like most of your work. I liked the final play on words with 'buck'. I often think that animals shouldn't be kept in cages at all, especially alone. That's like solitary confinement, as your title suggests, which is the worst possible punishment that can be given to a human being in many countries - so why do it to animals? Best Wishes, Robert.

Robert, I object to animals

Robert, I object to animals being kept in cages, especially in zoos, I cant see the attraction in displaying live animals in this day and age, any way glad you enjoyed this one. regards John
