Spirit Woman #6
Spirit Woman #6
She stands in the firelight,
One with nights shroud,
While the beat of the drums
Vibrate through the crowd.
She moves with the rhythm
Like a leaf in the wind,
As the plains' tall grasses
In the breeze as they bend.
No one seems to notice
That she's standing near,
And the chant she is speaking
No one seems to hear.
Glowing eyes in the shadows,
Dark shape seldom seen,
The fox watches closely,
His mind bright and keen.
Spirit Woman is dancing
About the main fire,
But no one can see her,
That's her desire.
Ghost Dancers rise afar
Adopted by the Lakota
The white ones are nervous
In the far hills of Dakota
The fox trots slowly
Off into the night,
The time is not yet,
But great is his fright.
She stands in the firelight,
One with nights shroud,
While the beat of the drums
Vibrate through the crowd.
She moves with the rhythm
Like a leaf in the wind,
As the plains' tall grasses
In the breeze as they bend.
No one seems to notice
That she's standing near,
And the chant she is speaking
No one seems to hear.
Glowing eyes in the shadows,
Dark shape seldom seen,
The fox watches closely,
His mind bright and keen.
Spirit Woman is dancing
About the main fire,
But no one can see her,
That's her desire.
Ghost Dancers rise afar
Adopted by the Lakota
The white ones are nervous
In the far hills of Dakota
The fox trots slowly
Off into the night,
The time is not yet,
But great is his fright.
