So remarkable were your features,
like a prominent silken lace,
that never before have I touched such beauty
and most likely, I never will again.

The grace displayed on your face
showed something else, that's truly rare.
But, it almost pales in comparison
to the inner beauty, that is you.

I've had memories come and go,
much like thoughts in the wind.
Sort of like the way cotton candy
can explode it's flavor in your mouth.

True...it's sugary and sweet, and interesting....
...but, it's all gone in a flash!
A cotton candy memory could never describe you
for there's much more substance to your being.

Today, I was reminded of you,
and I'm not quite sure what brought it on.
I can't say for sure if it was a routine,
a flavor, a scent, or something that made me smile.

It's like I wasn't even there when it happened.
But, after all...it did happen,
and I was reminded of your total beauty,
and how I truly miss you.
