Chocoholic

The doctor called on Monday

To look at Charlies lumps

After thorough examination

He concluded it was mumps

You’ll have to stay at home

Have a week off school

Don’t eat too many sweeties

Make sure that you stay cool

The doctor called back Tuesday

To check that all was well

Everything seemed normal

As far as he could tell

On Wednesday afternoon

The doctor called again

Asked how Charlie felt

He said he had some pain

Prescribing him some tablets

Said “take two twice a day

They’re the best that you can get

And will take the pain away”

On Thursday when the doctor came

And Charlie looked much worse

The doctor wasn’t happy

So he phoned up for a nurse

The nurse stayed there with Charlie

All day and through the night

When the doctor came on Friday

Charlie wasn’t looking right

Saturday came round quickly

And the frowning doctor said

This is looking pretty serious

He could very soon be dead

Sunday came and Sunday went

His state had not improved

The nurse not knowing what to do

To the window, his bed, she moved

She pushed the bed across the room

And what was under it

A great big pile of sweeties

Each made of chocolate

The doctor soon was at the house

Feeling highly vitriolic, saying

“This boy isn’t ill at all

He’s a chronic chocoholic”

*LOL* John

It'll get ya everytime. My wife loves chocolate. Never been a big chocolate eater myself. I especially hate chocolate ice cream more for the fact that it tastes like sand is in it than the chocolate taste. Fine humorous write! Well thank you very much

Well thank you very much Rett, as a rule I don't eat chocolate but when I do get the urge I'll buy a family sized bar and eat till I feel sick, not the thing to do, I know, but it kills the need for quite some time. Regards John
