The Titanic

The forefront of opulence
that bled sophistication
once thought of as indestructible
now sits quietly
as an icy tomb
and light fades on history

Titanic

I D Just the title draws me in. The expectations of all those souls taken. Their angel wings drippng tears of salt water. Turn to snow flakes, disolving into the deep blue. Until light fades, from above. To the darkness below. Unseen by the light of day. The mystery kept,by these souls. Electricblue

Jess

My great aunt said the Titanic sank because the builders and owners flew into the face of God, with the arrogance of not enough small boats to escape in. Who knows. Good write.

Good write Jess

Sometimes the arrogance of man exceeds his common sense. On the other hand, if man's reach never exceeded his grasp, we would still be in caves. Food for thought for sure my friend. Respectfully, Rett: "The people of America must really like idiots, look at EVERYONE in Washington." Rett

I never saw anything written about the Titanic as well as you have stated it here. You have summed it up in very few words, but well chosen Mom

Love the subject you’ve

Love the subject you've chosen, It's good apart from the last line, I've spoken it outloud a few times, however I can't quite get my head around it. Otherwise it's top-notch ;) M
