Family Christmas

Got the family coming for Christmas

There’s the kids and grandkids too

My dad and both the in laws

Auntie Rose and Uncle Stu

It’s going to be a full house

Of that you can be sure

Lunch for nineteen people

Maybe even more

I will try hard not to panic

When they turn up here in force

Cos I know it will be manic

Will I love it? yes of course

Another Shazbat Special!

I'm really looking forward to reading more and more of your poems! I love the nostalgic, and simplistic humor that you seem to convey so well! Bravo!

Hi John,

I wish you and your whole tribe a merry, manic Christmas. It sounds like a lot of hard work, though as you say at the end of your amusing poem, it's all worthwhile. But anyway, thank heavens it only happens once a year, right? Best wishes, Robert.
