Out Of Love

I can never really fall out of love
with you, can I?
Loving you is ever and always
a thought away, as if
a door opens and closes to a feeling
that comes through
like the
light as it skims the surface
in the shape of your hand as
you write another poem.

I can never really fall in love,
as if I could
stalk the moon
in Heron feathers
and Tiger eyes.
