The "Wick" Man
There's a woman that I know of
but I've only met her on the phone,
for a brief time she was happy
yet now she's sitting so alone.
She greatly deserved the interlude
spring can bring after a storm,
and though God's grace was very brief
her memories are all to keep her warm.
For how blessed she was to have "Wick"
come and brighten her every day,
we thank God we know such people
yet pray they never go away.
Realistically, we can't possess them
they're just on loan to us, you see,
and all we really can hope for
is that we blessed them, mutually.
Her sorrow weighs this lady down
we all can see it in her stride,
being happy he's in a better place
doesn't dry the tears she's cried.
Life goes on for the rest of us
and she's happy their friendship did start,
even though her "Wick" has just moved on,
he's still within her heart.
but I've only met her on the phone,
for a brief time she was happy
yet now she's sitting so alone.
She greatly deserved the interlude
spring can bring after a storm,
and though God's grace was very brief
her memories are all to keep her warm.
For how blessed she was to have "Wick"
come and brighten her every day,
we thank God we know such people
yet pray they never go away.
Realistically, we can't possess them

even though her "Wick" has just moved on,
he's still within her heart.
