ECHOES
ECHOES Echoes are the shadows of the pastLike ghost of lives in silent streetsIn events and episodes of historyWhich continue long after conclusions Echoes are the wars we have foughtLike thousand lives in twin towersWeeping in Afghanistan and IraqTerror begets terror in anti terrorism Echoes of earthquakes and tsunamisWashed in rising tons of sea waterInto the opened womb of the earthDrowned lives in tolls of thousands Echoes need not always be tragicSilent noble works echo from antiquityBy the custodians of the sacred lightWho interceded for all our wrongs Echoes are the refreshing facesOf human existence, through timeMay the future be better than the pastTill we all abide with eternal now
