Inscription in the Life of a Dead Wife

Inscription in the Life of a Dead Wife

Childhood dreams, teenage ideas, twenties ambitions,
Go unfulfilled under rose-colored skies
Timid, cautious young woman seeks the love of her life,
Love struck eyes, changes, sacrifices, losing self
Marital bliss lasting less than a year,
No mate to relate, no friends to convey, no kids to enjoy
Sixteen years a stay at home mom left out to pasture,
Buried under misunderstandings hoping for change

Oh My!

Excellent write Barbara. This really hits hard my friend. So many do that. Female and male alike and just get tossed aside. Harder for a woman for several reasons not the least of which is caring for a child and making ends meet. Well done. Beautiful, Barbara!

A heartbreaking and gut-wrenching poetic punch to the soul! Your words create a passion-filled picture of a brave lady's pain!
