Cowboy

He walked in the room

It became hushed and silent

His air and demeanour

Made him look violent

All dressed in black

From his head to his toes

Tattoos on his arms

And a ring through his nose

‘neath his hat hung a pigtail

On his face a full beard

Dressed like a cowboy

He seemed pretty wierd

Bellying up to the bar

Folk cleared the way

He spoke to the barman

Then we all heard him say

“Oh barman please help me”

Said the cowboy clad dude

“Those boys in the street

Are being quite rude”

“They called me bad names

They cussed and they swore

I’m all of a fluster,

Have you got a back door”

The barman just smiled

Then started to grin

As; two six year old kids

Came wandering in.

LOL!!!

Guess he wasn't the bad ass cowboy that everyone was worrying about, eh? Just to be technically correct - to date, I've never seen a 'cowboy' with a ring in their nose. :~) ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "So you stand on the corner in your new English clothes. And you look so polished from your hair down to your toes. Ahh, but still your finger's gonna pick your nose after all." - B.Joel

It just goes to show that

It just goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover, everything is not necessarily what it appears to be. John

Enjoyed this one, brought smiles to my face. Thanks for sharing~ _____________________________ To write a touching poem, you must gently stir the soul, if it brings forth tears or smiles, then the story was beautifully told. ________Janice Pearce_________
