Emptiness
it is senseless and worthless
to fill the chalice with bitter tears
you cannot run in the world’s desert
just one glance in the window
and you are there
the metamorphoses of time are not enough
because time widens badly
making your intellect dull
the same intellect you used to feed it
from the spirit of your lover
in mind with her for all eternity
the silence embraces thee
when you need those words
that never spoke through nobody
you hope you will discover someday
the soul with an aura of a muse
but it is almost impossible
to reach that miracle
with your head among grey clouds
hearing a voice that says:
“the better way to grow your light
is to turn back their darkness”
to fill the chalice with bitter tears
you cannot run in the world’s desert
just one glance in the window
and you are there
the metamorphoses of time are not enough
because time widens badly
making your intellect dull
the same intellect you used to feed it
from the spirit of your lover
in mind with her for all eternity
the silence embraces thee
when you need those words
that never spoke through nobody
you hope you will discover someday
the soul with an aura of a muse
but it is almost impossible
to reach that miracle
with your head among grey clouds
hearing a voice that says:
“the better way to grow your light
is to turn back their darkness”
