Perfection

I dream you in the light, of mornings ember glow
That shown through the window we laid beneath every night
I watched you change while I pretend to be asleep
And I knew you knew I was awake
You reached for the door and I called your name
And when you turned, your eyes met the sunrise,
And radiated perfection

How much would I give to see you in that light again?
How much would I give to feel you on my skin?
How much would I give… to feel any different?

I dream you in the evening, in your fashionable dress
A pose that could intimidate any famous princess
And we danced on ice as our minds drifted together
Dreams of forever laid in our hearts
You reached out and touched my lips
With your trembling frozen fingertips
And I tasted perfection

How much would you give to see me in this way again?
How much would you give to feel me hold your skin?
How much would you give… to feel any different?

How much would you let me?

I dream you in this scene
You are a perfect picture to me
I dream you in the light I once knew
I dream you in the dark I feel
But I see you in my eyes
Still… perfection
