Change of heart
The morning sun, hurts my eyes
I squint and stretch, before I rise
With joints so stiff and muscles aching
I understand the chance I’m taking
Drink some coffee, have a wash
Slice of toast and orange squash
Pop my pill to dull the pain
Then here I am alive again
Don my leathers, go outside
Start the bike, and off I ride
Feel the wind blow in my face
Hit the street at rapid pace
Throttle open nice and wide
In and out the bends I glide
Hit the highway in top gear
One sixty five, feel no fear
Throttle back take it steady
Realise, I'm not yet ready
Felt the buzz out on this drive
Feels so good to be alive
