" Born Again "

The final piece of the puzzle
one last button torn
unlocked adoption records seen
a new babe is born

Are you my real mother
have we always lived this close
did you ever try to find me
Look...
we've got the same nose.

Mom says " I did it all for you Lucky"
and I did the right thing indeed,
look at the un-needy woman you've become,
and oh my... what perfect teeth.

Why do you think I've come to find you
her mind screams in disbelief
I've been missing something my whole life
there is a hole inside of me

Are you really you
did you feel it too
have you always felt alone

Will anyone ever see
the missing part of me
what's my name mom
am I home.

Thank you O...

I was hoping you would read this one... I knew from earlier writings that you were adopted... this was written about someone very dear to my heart... Adoption can be a beautiful thing but the fact is that the majority of adoptee's have issues carried over to adulthood and beyond what most even have to consider... I thank you for sharing part of your story with me... Richard

Richard

You have handled a very sensitive subject very nicely here. The strain and tension of he unknown come through very nicely. Chrys
