My Favorite Storm

 

You came into my life
without warning.

You whispered soft words
on the breeze in my ear.

You stirred emotions inside me
with whipping winds.

You pelted my defensive walls
with pieces of hail.

You struck my soul to
the center core.

You melted my heart
with fast pouring rain.

I stood in front of you in awe
of your raw powerful beauty

I looked into your eye
and saw what was missing
in mine.

You were gone in an instant
without any explanation.

And ripped apart my heart
with your fast twisting
storm.

Love'll do that sometimes. Have had the 'ole stiletto punch through a couple times. I think it builds character, though, and we (usually) become stronger for it. I like to think of it as - "well if x,y,and z didn't happen I wouldn't have been able to x,y,and z."
