The Purity of Corruption

to the loss of innocence

Frolic merry souls, be pure
Dance in the heat of day
Stabbing games lay facing

To see such amazing hue
Tinge their pallid canvases
What disturbing delight

Cries in shadows of white
Bleached in crimson stains
I saw unicorns play fools

My soul fell so far down
Innocence never so pure
As in its departure

Nice goin', Emarie!

You've captured innocence lost with forceful intent and lyrical majesty! My hat is off to you, my dear!
