Feels Like a Haikuesque Day ~ 12 Ways to Feel Today

1.

I uncover my heart
let loose your arrow
find its mark

2.

I love you

three words
that last a lifetime

from birth to birth

3.

Sahasrara

the light
in the attic
where did
the room go?

4.

swan wings
glide through
love's quiver

snowy egrets
silently guard
the feathered pond,
snowflakes dance

5.

We are
so close
there is
no room.

6.

they say
the windows to the soul
are in eyes that are
so beautiful
one is captured
for all time,
now a tear
falling,
now an ocean.

7.

it was a rainbow serpent's sunrise
when the amber mist rose
with the morning dew
we
sail on the horizon,
braided clouds
soaked
with passion.

8.

Aspen leaves
golden tears
a Buddha passes

9.

in the pine grove
sacred circle
a moonflower grows

10,

seas of rainbows
a Buddha smiles
calming waters

11.

Aspen leaves to rust
turn, lake freezes over
Buddha's smile cracking ice

12.

we were light-forming roots,
the Aspen grand
and the lotus deep

Most enjoyable!The

Most enjoyable! The informality of the title makes it seem more like an introductory comment though. More in keeping with the lovely, quiet formalism of the poetry itself, I suggest, would be something like "Twelve Ways to Feel Today" (sort of like Wallace Stevens' "Thirteen Ways to Think about a Blackbird").
