Six Poems of November 8, 2008

1.

Touch

with every touch
You unfold the
mystery
hidden
within me,
fast rivers
we meet
underground,
like eruptions
of fire
wild
with desire

slow hands
and kisses bare,
arched backs
of primal lust

ascending,
we howl.

2.

In the River

In the River Of Today
we flow

currents
of light

passing through
a newborn sun

3.

We Have Learned To Be Kind

We've learned to be kind
with one another,
you don't read my poems
and i secretly read yours,
sometimes you just take
my breath away
and your memory comes
nakedly with autumn leaves
in your hands,

we are bare trees now.

we are silent as the snow.

4.

Nightfall

nightfall skates
o'er
thin dreams

reality cracks
the dawn

5.

Feeling Green?

it's raining
and golden leaves carpet
my lawn

crimson lace
and purple plum
ride
wild
with the soggy-bottomed wind

once
we were air-brushed
tendrils of green,

uncut diamonds in the sun.

6.

A Thousand Miles Away

A thousand miles away
i heed your call
closing my eyes,
the colour of you
like prisms of light
dancing in my head,
i feel your touch
in ever cell
i am afire,
syncopated rhythms,
shocks of awareness
we melt
distance and tongue
flesh and desire

Whew...

let me gather myself... your words flow through and touch the maddening misbehaved mind of me I reckon that means I loved it... whew Richard

beautiful

and your memory comes nakedly with autumn leaves in your hands what an image -- so full, so universal, and yet so painfully subjective just lovely, Stephanie
