"Ace"

I don't know much about him
haven't heard much "scuttlebutt",
but I really get a good vibe from him
and I can feel it in my gut.

He has yet to contact me
he may not know that I'm around,
but I'll be here for him
as long as my feet still touch the ground.
 
Day twenty-one of the tenth month
was the day he did come out,
and when his Mom and Dad named him,- "Ace"...
well, I just wanted to jump and shout!

He'll probably be a musician
though other things come to mind,
like a sports figure, or a pet detective
but, the best anyone could ever find;

or possibly a politician,
though he's above that it would seem,
actually, he can be whatever he wants
all he has to do is dream.
 
For, Ace Holden DeLong
is my grandson, don't you see,
and in his life he can do no wrong,
that is of course-according to me!
