Election Day

Daybreak....

Today America will have a new President
that goes without saying
it's election day,
in the year of our Lord, 2008.
We'll all walk the talk of the
one majority vote will have elected
for four years more
at least
unless the vote is hijacked
as it happened before,
Bless us O lord,
I pray we will not have taken
another misstep towards
the end of life on earth
without heaven.
without just reward
and salvation for one
and all.

The world is counting on us
to get it right and to stop
the insanity of might makes right.

Permanent Nightfall?

You know Rob, I have learned

You know Rob, I have learned some things. Who knows which candidate would contribute to a better America? We are not privy to see what would have happened if Gore had won. Good bad better worse? We can make an educated guess and hope for the best. The Republicans had their day, eh? ~A

Keeping my mouth shut

I've stated my views, cast my vote and awaiting the results. Whichever wins I hope it is not a mistake. Today is for voting and may everyone cast their vote for whom they choose and live with whatever they choose. Me included. *LOL* Enjoyed the poem very much. Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Yup we all have our

Yup we all have our opinions... however those who we elect that give *credence* to our opinions can and do cause *harm* to *us* as individuals and to *us* collectively as the masses of humanity. We are not an island unto ourselves...much as we'd like to thnk our opinions are the all in all. ~A

My opinions are. *LOL* sorry, couldn't resist

the opening. You are correct. Much as we'd like to think so we are an us and Robert Heinlein, to me, put it best. "A committee is an entity with two or more heads and no brain." Respectfully, Rett: "Life is like a beach. Salty, gritty, somewhat fishy and at other times, downright crabby" Rett: 2008
