Knights and Dragons
Ruby red were the lips that
feed my mind with words
that became lovely imagery,
expressions that filled my
head with damsels in
distress and hero knights,
knights that flew above the
clouds and slayed the evil
dragons,
then there was the crash
to earth from lips of revelry
and words to loud for me,
like a dragon with breath of
alcohol would burn and
cinder all my imagery,
as time went by I could not
hear the words of the ruby
lips,
all I knew was the alcohol
that had a hold on me, and
made me lose my imagery,
hate and anger like dragons
breath started flowing out of
me,
words that had been place so
softly in my head from those
ruby lips,
had been replaced with the
darkest most ugliest
alcoholic fantasies,
today I live in a world created
by those ruby lips,
thank you mother for the words
and the lovely imagery,
and to my father I say, take back
the alcohol that did not teach me
anything.
feed my mind with words
that became lovely imagery,
expressions that filled my
head with damsels in
distress and hero knights,
knights that flew above the
clouds and slayed the evil
dragons,
then there was the crash
to earth from lips of revelry
and words to loud for me,
like a dragon with breath of
alcohol would burn and
cinder all my imagery,
as time went by I could not
hear the words of the ruby
lips,
all I knew was the alcohol
that had a hold on me, and
made me lose my imagery,
hate and anger like dragons
breath started flowing out of
me,
words that had been place so
softly in my head from those
ruby lips,
had been replaced with the
darkest most ugliest
alcoholic fantasies,
today I live in a world created
by those ruby lips,
thank you mother for the words
and the lovely imagery,
and to my father I say, take back
the alcohol that did not teach me
anything.
