Girl

If you listen to me, girl

My love will wrap around you

And warm you on all those cold, lonely nights

And bask you in sunlight

And take you on the world

If you are still inside my heart

You’re reading books of, lonely women

Who teach lessons of self-sacrifice

And how is the cold of the night?

And how is the air you breathe?

And how are the muscles of your heart, still holding you up?

Watch me as I try to fight for your love

And watch as I fall to my knees

You thought I would never last this long

As you look to the sky

You dreamed of someone else

And how is the time you spend alone?

And how is the dark you live in?

And how is the air you refuse to breathe, still keeping you alive?

And how is the water of the world?

And how is the breathe of god?

And how is the love from your lover, is he holding you up?

He is holding you in

He is holding you in

A well though out love poem

A well though out love poem in a new angle. i like it very much. any girl to whom it is addressed will yield. some correction: bask you = bask at you; books of, lonely women= books of lonely women; the breathe of the God = the breath of the God
