The Shadow World
If you stand in the shadows at "twilight"
and to the left, you've quickly twirled;
when you drop to your knees and look up from the ground,
more than likely you'll be in the Shadow World.
It isn't easy to do this
for "twilight" changes each night,
but if you happen to be very lucky,
you'll spy such a beautiful sight!
The first thing you'll see is the garden
where pixie-dust grows from the ground,
and when the pollen is picked by the pixies,
the dust formed can greatly astound!
The world of the faeries lies yonder
with their buildings made of emerald,
and the faeries go about their business of fun,
it's truly a magical world.
Beyond you'll see in the distance
the valley where the king gargoyle rules;
he guards a stone castle called Ganthor,
to protect all the prisoners, and jewels.
In their world, "twilight" matters not;
there's a "guard-goyle" 'round the clock, so it seems;
and whenever one does take a break,
they're known to pop-up in your dreams.
But worry not, for they really are harmless,
and if you wake from a dream that scares you;
just wait seven minutes and yawn twice
and the guard-goyle's break will be through.
So enjoy the stories about creatures of the night,
and if you see one, don't misunderstand.
They often take breaks from their world,
to dance and to play in our land!
and to the left, you've quickly twirled;
