First love
Such passion in a timid kiss might well have locked that long and weary grasp
which time keeps on her children.
But love was just a game of pride
that ended once between the sheets
and left us there for ever; faint hearts grown sadly old, so aged by that first sorrow.Now walking by a lake at night
I see your face within the face
that now I love, and crying softly
in my heart remember thenthose tears shed feebly on the ground,
when once we knew young love could lie;
not me and you, but I, .. and I.— professor, Oct 28, 2008
