Leaf
in dreams
i walk in Paradise
there is no place
that is not home
there is no heartbeat
that is not mine
there is no thirst
that love can not quench
nor hunger can deny
today i awakened in my
bed a crimson Maple leaf
was pressed against
my head,
sand fell from trembling hands
and light opened salt-filled eyes...
my hair had turned to snow
i walk in Paradise
there is no place
that is not home
there is no heartbeat
that is not mine
there is no thirst
that love can not quench
nor hunger can deny
today i awakened in my
bed a crimson Maple leaf
was pressed against
my head,
sand fell from trembling hands
and light opened salt-filled eyes...
my hair had turned to snow
