Pick-Up Lines

The pick-up lines were great in the days
when the Chevy purred down by the levy
we were young then
full of ourselves
with nary a cloud in our sky,
Coyote was a shaman
howling with our youth,
a priceless vision
we picked up along the way
to the epiphany of gathering starlight

we spoke:

"Come softly
stay with me
for eternity
though our bodies
may be worn
and the presence of
our light
wans....
the bluest flame
burning brightly
through all these lives,
loved
and never lost..."

and now the page we are reading from
is turning to rust,

our eyes already dust ....
in the landscape ahead.....

"Radio Nowhere..is anybody alive out there??" Bruce S.

love that song of his this is the third reference to "coyote" I have heard today since noon on the radio first then passing someone on the street then in a store I was thinking about coyote because of that time Homer Simpson tasted Chief Wiggems Super Chili Homer drank wax and it worked but then Homer had a psychodelic experience and met the Coyote in a George Herrimanesque landscape voiced over by the then still living Johnny Cash on scrap paper at work I penned this simple thing which I like "Coyotes nibble my eyes I am the feast of morning sunrise supple whimsy is my disguise" wow doesnt make any sense but I loved the flow and then I read your work Exciting!! your poems are great I love to read them at my days end after work when I get home

Hi O… I am constantly

Hi O... I am constantly aware of living in at least 2 worlds... the one that everyone else seems to live in.... and the one that is above/below this middle earth.... the one Jess spoke of in Watermana... It is absolutely delicious & conspires to give us bliss, harmony and synchronicity. all we have to do is be open and *notice* it... like you do. Supple whimsy indeed... ;-) ~A
