Inscription in the Life of a Deaf Vagrant

Vagrant lingers, although you do not hear,
Frogs sing under a starlit heaven;
The diner’s guest uneaten dinners is what greets you,
A vacant house, on a dirty floor you sleep;
Under dark skies, from trees and underbrush,
Fireflies’ bestow intermittent light, dynamic courtship.

Vagrant

A splash of nature, and a sight of life, that we maybe fear. Wish there had been more as the words were showing a picture, and I did want to see it all. I expect I have to use my imagination more LOL Yours Ian.T

Ably words

I appreciate the refreshing comment, it put a smile on my face. Thanks for the suggestion, will sleep on does read better. I like the way on dirty floor rolls off my tongue is why I choose it instead. I am glad you enjoyed it. Respectfully Yours, Barbara

Ah Barbara

A peek at both sides, the dirty and the beautiful. Fear and contentment. Excellent job. Your skill and imagination continue to soar. Respectfully, Rett: "If a fool and his money are soon parted, what does that say about the government bailout?" Rett

Hi!

Dear Barbara, I like your style of writing. This poem is stylish. I read your other poems as well. Duck smarts is cute but very short, wish it could be lengthier. One day soon and can't do it anymore are very nice. There is melancholy in your poetry and then suddenly your positive side springs up and there is happy side of you. Keep posting. All the best.

simple treasures

lived the life a touch of this dumpster finds donuts and bagels and bisquits expired potato chips pretzels cheesies soup kitchen and the park with a wool blanket from Salvation Army and a key for the rest room and shower at a marina there were always places to share and hang out from the rain stories to tell and listen madness to observe violence to input and suprisingly beauty and beautiful stories held and honed like sculptures to hold and admire when re described I Love this poem very much makes me appreciated what I have now from that years ago visitation
