Quest
Quest
He saw the glow of the harbor lights
From the ship a-sail in the dark of night
On a stormy sea; where could she be?
Like a knight on quest for the Holy Grail
He kept on searching to no avail
His love he can’t find; slowly losing his mind.
From Singapore to San Francisco town,
Searching everywhere to be found,
But always too late, she just wouldn't wait.
Wherever he goes she's been there
Seeming to vanish into empty air
He's going insane; seaching in vain
From the Ivory coast to Boston Bay
He’s been everywhere she might stay
Going up in flame; he knows no shame
Like a soldier marching off to war
He’s searched near and he’s searched far
No place to start; just follow his heart
From darkened docks to the lonely street
He walks alone not admitting defeat
Through the pouring rain; wrapped in his pain
Like an astronaut heading to the sky
Blasting off for another try
He asks around; nowhere to be found
Red lights are flashing in the street
A body covered by a bloody sheet
In the pouring rain; no longer in pain
A worn photograph in a fist clutched tight
A man dead in the dark of night
His story untold; lying so cold
He saw the glow of the harbor lights
From the ship a-sail in the dark of night
On a stormy sea; where could she be?
Like a knight on quest for the Holy Grail
He kept on searching to no avail
His love he can’t find; slowly losing his mind.
From Singapore to San Francisco town,
Searching everywhere to be found,
But always too late, she just wouldn't wait.
Wherever he goes she's been there
Seeming to vanish into empty air
He's going insane; seaching in vain
From the Ivory coast to Boston Bay
He’s been everywhere she might stay
Going up in flame; he knows no shame
Like a soldier marching off to war
He’s searched near and he’s searched far
No place to start; just follow his heart
From darkened docks to the lonely street
He walks alone not admitting defeat
Through the pouring rain; wrapped in his pain
Like an astronaut heading to the sky
Blasting off for another try
He asks around; nowhere to be found
Red lights are flashing in the street
A body covered by a bloody sheet
In the pouring rain; no longer in pain
A worn photograph in a fist clutched tight
A man dead in the dark of night
His story untold; lying so cold
