A poetry editor said that he liked one of my poems. He said that he liked the poem, but said that I should make some changes to the poem. He actually indicated the changes that I should make right on the poem. I am very excited by this. I almost was not going to write this blog post because I'm not absolutely sure that he will publish the poem if I make the changes that he wants me to make. However, I interpret his comments to mean that it if I make the changes, he probably will publish the poem.

My thinking is this, why would he go to the trouble of making those suggestions, and telling me to think on it, if he's not going to publish the poem, if the changes are made? I have decided to adopt his suggestions, and send the poem back to him, and see what happens. If the poem gets published, I will let you know.
