LULLABY

Close your eyes, my little one
Lay down your precious head
Warm and gentle breezes
Bring songs for babes alone
Hear your angels' lulllaby

The moon shines softly down
To say good night to you
The stars above watch over you with love
As angels wee surround, and kiss
Your sweet and tender brow

Sweet dreams my baby, now
Your Mama is close by
That you may sleep in such sweet bliss
Until the morn again returns

Tender poem

To give it more of a lullaby feel, you might want to even the meter a bit. For exmaple, Close your eyes, my little one Lay down your precious head And listen to the angel’s lullaby On the warm and gentle breeze A lullaby that only babes can hear (Little one, close your eyes Lay down your precious head Warm and gentle breezes Bring songs for babes alone Hear your angels' lullaby)

It has been a long time, now it is the grandchildren. Thanks for bringing me there. Arrow was right on with his suggestion. "There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you." Will Rogers

HI Patty

I used to sing to my babies, too, Christmas caroles, nursery rhymes, what ever came to mind.. Thought at a young age that rock a bye baby was a little violent. "Down will come baby, cradle and all"

LINDA

I CAN beat my sleeping problem if my mum or my closest aunt sing this to me every single nite. but im now 16 and it is abnormal for me to be treated that way. im far too 'matured' for lullabies. Tell you what, i nearly fall asleep myself when i read your soulful and peaceful lullaby aloud. love this. i already print it and i write caption under it 'to be sing to my future children and grandchildren'.
