My Insignificant Place

Dancing by the Hudson on this
beautiful Autumn day,

The murky waters of the River
flow with memories of
yesterday.

Memories of leaping from the
piers with my friends of
yesteryear's.

The happy time of fun and
laughter, never thinking ahead
living with out fear.

Today I dance alone, the River
invokes those memories of my
youthful years.

Memories cascading upon me
that bring those happy tears.

The times I peered into the abyss,
without realizing the dangers
that where so very near

I never thought that these
insignificant things would seem
so dear.

But I feel great joy to have them
seared to memories that have
not been misplaced

Thank you Great River for your
strength, and to know I'll never
lose this place.

the avatar is a rendering of Dhubain

a wicked, but not evil, pooka. My twin brother. The little prick got most of the elven genes, I look way older, nearly my 2016 odd years. Yeah yeah, everyone asks, I knew Jesus when I was a kid, and yes we teased the shit out of him, lying little bastard claimed his mum was a virgin. How bloody ignorant! Deserved everything he got and probably explains his delusions of grandeur, compensatory delusion you understand. cheers, Jess

Jess,

I would say that we all are delusional, Just read back to yourself what you wrote here, but if your happy in your delusion, then f-them if they can't take a joke. You made me think of my favorite band the "Rolling Stones" Please to me you. Then in my delusion I'm Jesus, "and I'm here to prove you wrong", that the other side of that song. Hey I enjoyed this chat, Lot's of fun to be had in delusions! thanks, Eddie "if I miss a bus while I'm drunk, is that an accident?"
