The Moonlight Climbed The Stairs With Me

The moonlight
climbed the stairs with me
followed me into bed,
all alone was I
no one shared my pillow
no one shared my dreams,

we passed through endless worlds
of silence,
we broke through the darkness,
we wrote this poem,

Morning Glories
open to a new day.
I am filled with light.

What a wonderfully ...

upbeat ending ... so rich with promise. moonlight climbed the stairs with me followed me into bed, I've not thought of being stalked by moonlight. This says it well. Adroitly. all alone was I no one shared my pillow no one shared my dreams, Nice continuation from the opening lines. Seamless. Almost achingly so. Thanx, Chuck

What a great thought.... Being stalked by moonlight.... I guess we really are. I think this one could use some tweaking. I have not voted yet. will revisit later Patty

Is this Gordon Lightfoot's counterpart? "Sundown, you better take care, if I find you a-creepin' 'round my back stairs...." "Moonbeam, you better take care, if I find you a-creepin' up my house stairs..." Awesome write - though I find moonbeam sometimes lays on that pillow with me. You're not always alone. ~Jess K. ---------------------------------------------------- - "Everyone needs to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer!" - "Due to budget cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off."

The moonlight climbed the stairs with me, an awesome lead into a beautiful poem! "There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you." Will Rogers
